Kirsty completed pupillage in East Anglia and gained experience both prosecuting and defending in the Magistrates Court. She has particular interest in working with young offenders. Kirsty's main areas of practice have been all areas of civil law on the small claims and fast track. Kirsty has also worked in family law particularly in relation to both public and private law children matters.
Areas of Practice
Kirsty can accept instructions in the following areas:
- Crime - In addition to her experience prosecuting and defending trials in the youth court, Kirsty has also done general Crown Court and Magistrates Court work including: bail applications, sentencing, breach of community orders, benefit fraud claims, breach of curfew, warrants and Magistrates Court trials. Kirsty also has experience of driving offences and exceptional hardship arguments.
- Civil - Kirsty can accept instructions in all aspects of civil work. Kirsty has undertaken work on credit hire cases in both the small claims and fast track. In particular, interests include road traffic claims and personal injury. Kirsty has gained experience in relation to the following hearings: applications to set aside, contract claims, ASBOs, infant approval hearings, case management conferences and disposal hearings.
- Family - All aspects of family law including injunctive relief, ex-parte applications, directions hearings in private law proceedings, interim residence and contact.

previous work experience
Prior to coming to the Bar, Kirsty worked for a solicitors firm in Birmingham working in the Magistrates and Crown Court and acting as a police station representative. Kirsty was a volunteer for the legal advice centre in Suffolk which advised immigrants on housing issues.

Interests include sport and in particular hockey, reading, scuba diving and travel.
