Simon completed a general common law pupillage in London, during which time he made various appearances in the both the Old Bailey and the Royal Courts of Justice.
Simon is a specialist civil practitioner providing advice, pleadings and representation (including ADR) in both fast and multi track cases. He has represented various legal bodies including plcs and local authorities.
In November 2007 Simon was appointed by the Attorney General to be Junior Counsel to the Crown. To date Simon has been instructed by the Treasury Solicitor to advise/represent the Home Office, the Ministry of Justice, HM Prison Service and the Identity and Passport Service, in matters of general litigation, employment law and coroner's inquests.

Simon also has experience in bankruptcy and insolvency (petitions and applications), education admission appeals (sitting as a legal advisor for a local authority), coroner's inquests and human rights law.
