Wayne was called to the Bar in 2004 and spent the earlier years of his career working as a court advocate within the personal injury practice of a well respected national law firm, where he cross qualified as a solicitor and later as a Higher Courts Advocate, before then returning to the Bar.

Wayne has a busy common law practice, with a primary focus on civil litigation; though he also appears in the Family Court, the Immigration Tribunal and the Magistrates' Court, where he defends, as well as prosecuting on behalf of the Crown.

In terms of his civil practice, Wayne appears regularly before the County Court, on behalf of claimants and defendants alike, dealing with a wide variety of contested areas, from personal injury claims, credit hire and low velocity impact claims, to torts generally, contract, landlord and tenant, bankruptcy and insolvency, taxation, insurance law etc.

Furthermore, Wayne provides a number of written advocacy services:

  • drafting particulars of claim, defences and replies; 
  • drafting applications, replies to the same and skeleton arguments; 
  • drafting appeals; 
  • providing advice as to: 
            - quantum; 
             - liability;
             - legal, procedural and evidential issues.
