Ian Jones was interviewed by the Daily Mail about school appeals and the growing number of parents who are instructing barristers before applying to popular state schools. Mr Jones who specialises in school admissions said "Parents are aware of what they are up against and want to do the best for their child. It's perhaps particularly a problem in primary schools because of the class size limit to 30". The Daily Mail reporter went on to quote Margeret Morrissey, of the parents lobby group, Parents Outloud, who said "each local authority and school has different criteria and this is confusing for parents ... There had been so many changes that you end up with a mismatch of rules and regulations that is an absolute minefield for parents."
