Drink driving often carries an automatic disqualification of between twelve months and three years plus. If you are a drink driving repeat offender or if the case is deemed so serious then a prison sentence and a driving ban is frequently passed. If you are convicted of driving drunk then this may end in loss of your employment, higher insurance premiums, a criminal record on your licence and possible travel visa restrictions. In a very serious cases the court may also impose a fine of up to £5,000.00.
